HGY is a Swedish Upper Secondary School in a suburb south of Stockholm, established in 1972. At present there are about 500 students in the school aged 16 to 20.
HGY has four specialisations and prepares students for University studies in Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Economics and Polytechnics. There is also a Special Preparatory Education (IMSPR) where newcomers who have been in Sweden for less than three years, qualify for the ordinary Upper Secondary School.

HGY has had an appreciated tradition in working with Psychodrama and Sociodrama for almost 20 years.

Moreover, HGY is an “Amnesty International” school, with several years of  collaboration with Amnesty International, and working systematically together with all the students and the teachers with the promotion of Human Rights.
